PART-TIME DEPUTY ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER
COUNTY OF LEE
The Lee County Board of Supervisors is now accepting applications for the position of Part-Time Deputy Animal Control Officer. Under the direction of the Chief Animal Control Officer, this position is responsible for the capture, care, and disposition of stray, unwanted and diseased dogs; checking complaints of stray dogs; investigation of bite cases and animal cruelty complaints; pound operation and maintenance and recordkeeping. Applicant must successfully complete a three-week Basic Animal Control course and obtain certification within 12 months of hire. This position will work Saturday and Sunday and on an as-needed basis on weekdays depending on availability. Starting pay is $12.77 per hour with no benefits package.
